A multi-million dollar renovation of Westfield Garden City Mt Gravatt has enabled the onsite mycar store to become the largest in Queensland.

National Store Development Manager Graham Edwards said the renovation allowed an expansion from 6 to 13 bays which has brought an average 53% increase in the number of residential and fleet customers to the store every week.

“This reduces the turnaround time in our wheel alignment jobs and increases the number of vehicles we can handle in one day so we can get our customers back on the road so much sooner.”

Graham said the store’s expansion has allowed a boost in the number of team members with the latest training and that the store’s employees have expressed their appreciation of the larger and more modernised working environment. The store’s management is also investing in new state-of-the-art equipment including Snap-on diagnostic instruments and new wheel alignment machines.

“We have a commitment to provide our teams, customers and industry with best practice facility in convenient locations and the new Mt Gravatt store is a benchmark example of this.”

With over 240 stores nationwide, Graham says mycar is continually improving is service offering to its existing and potential new customers.

“Whilst it is not every location that it would be viable to have a 13-bay facility we are continually looking at where we can improve what we do to help serve our customers. Our stores at Loganholme and Chermside also recently expanded from five bays to eight bays.”

Currently mycar has stores in over 20 shopping centres throughout Queensland which is an advantage if your company has a fleet spread far and wide your drivers can have repairs and service carried out at a convenient location making best use of their valuable time.
