At mycar, we guarantee our products and services to be free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. However, we understand that sometimes things can go wrong. If this does happen, please get in touch as soon as you can, and one of our friendly staff members will help to quickly sort it out.
mycar will repair or exchange (where possible) the product or service if it becomes defective within the warranty period. mycar will bear the reasonable expense of claiming the warranty.
This warranty will no longer apply where the defect is a result of alteration, accident, misuse, abuse, neglect or where subsequently repaired or modified by an unauthorised service agent.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or normal service life and excludes maintenance items, such as globes, wiper blades, lubricants and fluids.

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:
You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.
We offer a Lifetime guarantee on all work performed at mycar.
We offer a 24,000kms or 24 month guarantee (whichever occurs first) on all new parts supplied and installed by our qualified technicians.
At mycar we offer a lifetime tread guarantee against manufacturing faults and limited to pro-rata replacement, calculated on the remaining tread depth.
Warranties on batteries range from 12 to 36 months, depending on the type of battery purchased.
Goodyear Optilife tyres features special tread compounds and equalised pressure distribution across the tyre footprint, providing more even tread wear and extended mileage which provides you with precise steering, outstanding grip and reduced tyre wear. To ensure you are getting the most out of your tyres, Goodyear Optilife tyres come with 50,000km mileage guarantee.
Kumho Tyre’s world-renowned quality is a result of a strong commitment to advanced design technology and drive to innovate. Their products deliver optimum performance, quality and most importantly safety which are the part of the Kumho Tyre promise. To ensure that you are going the distance, Kumho Tyres KH27, KL33, KL21 are eligible for 50,000km mileage guarantee while the KL51 and HT51 are eligible for 80,000km mileage guarantee.
To maintain your guarantee ,you must return your car to any of our 260 stores nationwide every 10,000kms or every 6 months following our "Tyrelife Saver Program," which includes:
Should your tyres’ tread wear out before the specified guarantee, we will provide you with a pro-rata tread life credit towards the cost of new Goodyear Optilife or selected Kumho* Tyres or comparable replacement tyres.
*KH27, KL33, KL21 are eligible for 50,000km mileage guarantee. KL51 and HT51 are eligible for 80,000km mileage guarantee.
To keep things simple, we maintain the records of your mileage guarantee in our central database where both your original purchases as well as your free Tyrelife Saver program visits are recorded to permit reference in the unlikely event your tyres wear prematurely. Your Mileage guarantee is managed and administered by mycar and is in addition to your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
All Goodyear Optilife and selected Kumho Tyres sold and fitted by mycar are guaranteed to provide a minimum of 50,000kms of serviceable tread wear life following a tyre wear indicator; “serviceable” means there is at least 1.6mm of even remaining tread. All services incurred as a consequence of any claims including fitting, wheel balancing, valve stems and old tyre disposal will be provided by mycar at no additional cost. Additionally, your Mileage Guarantee is transferable, which means you have an added selling point should you decide to sell your vehicle sometime in the future. Just advise the purchaser to visit a mycar store to update our records.
#Damage or abuse means that the tyre shows signs of vandalism, motor vehicle accident damage, under or over inflation, snow chain application, motorsport or competition use, burnouts, misalignment or mechanical problems.$Road hazard damage means damaged caused by pot holes, kerbs and punctures.
