    What are Return Plates?

    Road incidents cause physical injury carnage – and mental trauma, even for witnesses.

    At mycar we believe that care goes beyond the car, which is why we’ve launched Return Plates (R Plates). A plate to recognise drivers returning to the road.

    The R Plate makes an invisible problem visible, signalling to other road users that drivers displaying the plate need some extra care. Recovering drivers can confidently return to the road knowing they are in a supportive space.

    Road Trauma Support WA provides information, support and counselling to anyone in WA who has been affected by a road crash. We support those who have been involved in and/or injured in a road crash, their families, friends and carers, those who have witnessed a crash or are first on the scene, first responders and those who may have caused a road crash to occur.

    If you know of someone who has been impacted by road trauma refer them to this website to get their R Plate or to access local professional help and psychological support.

    If you see an R Plate on the road, know that someone is bravely returning to the road and treat them with empathy, respect and extra care. R Plates recognised on Australian roads will be the greatest help of all. Please take the pledge to help mycar gain government support.
