Wheel alignment and balancing stop your car from prematurely ageing

Wheel alignment

Unaligned wheels can cause premature tyre and suspension wear. This will create problems with handling, performance and the safety of your vehicle.

Let’s face it, that could cause a few grey hairs on you too.

Simple things like bumping into a kerb or driving over a pothole can throw your wheel alignment out. It's important to get this fixed quickly, before it leads to larger problems.

Wheel alignment is the measurement, analysis and adjustment of your vehicle's steering and suspension angles to ensure the wheels are perpendicular to the ground and parallel to each other.

It’s often confused with wheel balancing. The two really have nothing to do with each other, except that they both affect ride and handling. Our expert technicians have been carefully trained and use the latest, state-of-the-art vehicle alignment equipment.

If you notice a slight steering wheel shimmy and the vehicle feels as if it's pulling to one side, you should have it checked. Your tyres may squeal when turning, and you could experience poor steering control.

Even if your car appears to be running well, we recommend having your wheel alignment checked every 10,000km for maximum tyre life. Best to be safe.

Get a two- or four-wheel alignment service (dependent on your vehicle requirement) that’s fast and efficient for just $69.

Wheel balancing

Correct wheel balance on your car is very important. Unbalanced wheels can cause your tyres to wear prematurely, as well as causing accelerated wear of your shock absorbers, struts and steering components. All this can seriously affect your car's overall performance, as well as potentially increasing the cost of wheel balancing.

Our expert technicians make sure the weight on your wheels is distributed evenly to give your car a smooth ride and reduce premature tyre wear.

If a wheel is out of balance, it causes a vibration at high speeds that can be felt in the steering wheel and/or the seat.

Alignment is different. If the alignment’s out, it can cause excessive tyre wear and steering or tracking problems.

We offer two types of wheel-balancing service: standard computer wheel balancing and premium computer wheel balancing.

A standard balancing service uses a wheel spinning machine to diagnose balance. If the wheel’s out of balance, small weights are added to ensure even weight distribution and smooth and consistent rotation of the tyre.

This also includes a cone set up to fix the wheel to the balancing machine but does not simulate the pressure that would be applied to the wheel when it is fixed to the car by the wheel nuts.

All work is backed by our industry-leading Australia wide guarantee*.

A premium service uses the latest computer wheel balancing technology from Haweka, so your car's wheels are balanced perfectly, improving fuel economy and providing smooth, vibration-free driving.

The Haweka system replicates the wheel being secured to your car using a plate and finger system to simulate tightened wheel nuts on the wheel.

All our work is backed by our industry-leading Australia wide guarantee.

Standard wheel balancing comes free with all tyre purchases, however if you'd like to get a wheel balance done anytime, it's priced from $69.
