Tyre Care Plan

On 22 October 2018, we launched our complimentary Tyre Care Plan — providing our customers with genuine value, everyday.

Research shows that buying tyres isn’t always straightforward as countless options, offers and promotions is confusing and frustrating. So we’ve worked with our tyre suppliers to create a unified offer for customers that purchase from our Tyre Care Plan range that consists of over 2,000 tyres!

If you’re not happy with your tyres within the first 30 days, you may swap them.

  • Offer only applies to tyres sold by us that are in the Tyre Care Plan Range.
  • Replacement tyres must be from the Tyre Care Plan Range, of equivalent mycar RRP value at time of sale and meet the vehicle manufacturer’s requirements, or you may pay the difference to purchase a more expensive tyre.
  • Only the original tyres purchased are covered and not tyres already provided as a replacement.
  • Tyres must not show signs of damage or abuse* including road hazard damage**.Offer does not apply to wholesale customers.

If your tyre is damaged beyond repair by a road hazard** in the first 12 months, we’ll replace it free of charge.

  • Offer only applies to tyres sold by us that are in the Tyre Care Plan Range.
  • Replacement tyres must be from the Tyre Care Plan Range, of equivalent mycar RRP value at time of sale and meet the vehicle manufacturer’s requirements, or you may pay the difference to purchase a more expensive tyre.
  • Only the original tyres purchased are covered and not tyres already provided as a replacement.
  • The tyre must be returned within 12 months of the date of purchase.
  • Tyres must not show signs of damage or abuse* (other than road hazard damage**).
  • Offer is transferable to a new owner of the vehicle, provided the registration number of the vehicle is not changed.
  • Offer does not apply to wholesale customers.

Any repairable puncture will be fixed at one of our stores free of charge, for the legal tread life of tyres purchased from us.

  • Offer only applies to tyres sold by us that are in the Tyre Care Plan Range and that are repairable.
  • A tyre is repairable if the puncture is in the central area of the tyre tread (the Minor Area), the tyre that has more than 1.6 mm of tread remaining and is otherwise roadworthy. Punctures in the tyre shoulder or sidewall are not repairable. Any damage larger than 5mm, even if it is in the minor area, cannot be repaired. Tyres with internal damage are not repairable.
  • Offer is transferable to a new owner of the vehicle, provided the registration number of the vehicle is not changed.
  • Offer does not apply to wholesale customers.

We may add or remove tyre brands (or specific tyre patterns) from the Tyre Care Plan range at any time. Customers who purchase tyres that are included in the Tyre Care Plan range at the time of purchase will continue to be entitled to the benefits under the Tyre Care Plan.

*Damage or abuse means that the tyre shows signs of vandalism, motor vehicle accident damage, under or over inflation, snow chain application, motorsport or competition use, burnouts, misalignment or mechanical problems.

**Road hazard damage means damage caused by pot holes, kerbs and punctures.

Lullaby Ready inspection

We understand how challenging it can be to put your baby to sleep, which is why we’ve launched a free “Lullaby Ready” inspection* to provide recommendations on how to make your car run as smoothly as possible. With over 96% of Australians driving an extra 1,500km per year to help put their baby to sleep, we understand the importance of the role your car can play.

At mycar we challenged our technicians to service a car so smoothly that it could put a baby to sleep. Check out our video to see how we did!

Well, you aren’t alone! According to research+ we commissioned, 96% of Australian parents are driving up to an hour or 30km per week in an effort to settle their tiny tots. That equates to a total of driving 1,500km per year.

What’s included in the free inspection?

Our free “Lullaby Ready” inspection* will check various components of your vehicle, and provide recommendations on how to get your car running as smoothly as possible. This includes:

  • Topping up your washer fluid
  • Checking your lights
  • Inspecting your tyre condition
  • Checking your seatbelts
  • Checking your oil level
  • We will use car mats and seat covers during our check to keep your car clean and turn off your radio so there are no loud surprises!
