The battery is the heart of your vehicle. It’s so much more than a simple box filled with a web of cables. It powers everything—from the starter and ignition systems to accessory functions and computerised parts—every time you turn the key.

To avoid finding yourself stranded as you check out the sights of Bundaberg, it’s always a good idea to be on the lookout for warning signs. As a general rule, batteries last for about three years, but there are some signs you might notice, including:

  • Dim headlights (indicates low battery power)
  • Engine making odd sounds
  • The engine taking more time to turn over
  • Clicking sound when key is turned
