Expected Hyundai Kona battery life

As a general rule, you can assume your battery will last between three and five years. Hyundai Kona battery specifications will vary depending on the model that you own, but you can usually expect your Hyundai Kona battery capacity to be a 12V standard battery paired with your electric one.

To make sure that your battery lasts, make sure to keep your car out of extremes of hot and cold, regularly inspecting it for rust or swelling, and taking it for long drives to charge it to full capacity.

What kind of battery does the Hyundai Kona use?

The standard Hyundai Kona battery type is a 12V unit. You will also have a Lithium-ion polymer battery which enables the hybrid functions of this vehicle. The 12V standard battery is found in many car types, so you will be able to select a high-quality unit from a range of options.

mycar batteries provide a 42 month warranty depending on the battery type. For more information on a battery for your Hyundai Kona, talk to our friendly team who are always happy to help!
