    What does a comprehensive vehicle inspection include?

    The inspection will include everything the manufacturer specifies and is required for the logbook service. Everything below, and much much more!

    • 1. Test drive

      The engine, drivetrain, brakes and suspension in your vehicle will be tested to ensure that they are up to standard.

    • 2. Operational check

      The standard components of your vehicle such as seat belts, lights, wipers including washers and arm mechanism, horn will be inspected. The air/cabin filters and housing will also be checked.

    • 3. Digital battery check

      Your battery will be tested and printed results will be provided.

    • 4. Inspection of underbody

      A visual inspection will be conducted for leaks from your engine, exhaust system, fuel line and gearbox.

    • 5. Tyre pressure and tread wear check

      The condition, pressure and tread wear of your tyres (including the spare) will be inspected to ensure that it is up to the legal standard.

    • 6. Brake wear recommendation

      A precise measurement can be provided to you. This will also include a fluid condition check.

    • 7. Suspension system check

      Joints and bearings in your vehicle will be checked for any leaks.

    • 8. Final assessment of vehicle

      The wheels are cross checked and a final road test is performed to ensure quality of the service and operations performed.

Mobile car servicing helps you keep on top of regular maintenance by making it easy to book, even when your schedule is flat out.

    What can our mobile technicians do? Just about any job that doesn’t need a hoist. That means all kinds of general servicing, including oil and filter changes, battery replacement, computer diagnostics, safety checks, cooling system repairs and more.

    Buying a second-hand car? Before you sign the dotted line, have it checked onsite with a pre-purchase inspection. We’ll send out an experienced mechanic who knows what to look for when it comes to signs of damage, wear and modifications.

    Your mycar mobile car inspection will also include a detailed report within a few hours of the inspection, so you are ready to make that decision faster. Mobile pre-purchase inspections are currently available to Greater Sydney, Melbourne metro, and south-east Queensland drivers (including Greater Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Ipswich), however we are always trialling new areas, so stay tuned!

    Mobile service van FAQ

    What hours are you available?

    Our mobile van can come to you Mondays to Fridays, 8am to 5pm. Plus same-day bookings are available (subject to availability).

    How much space do you need onsite?

    Our team will work with you to ensure a safe, workable area. When it comes to space:

    • At least 2.8 metres height clearance for our vans.
    • Available parking no more than 15 metres from your vehicle.
    • For tyre fitting specifically, we require 75 centimetres of space on either side of your vehicle so the team has enough room to swap your tyres out.

    If your parking space isn’t quite suitable, don’t worry! Our team can assess it on arrival and find a suitable spot nearby in no time.

    What happens when the mobile van arrives?

    When our mobile van arrives, the process will be similar to the following:

    • We’ll scope out where your car is parked to make sure there is enough working space, if not we will find a suitable spot close by.
    • Your technician will confirm the mobile service you’ve booked, and let you know what to expect and roughly how long they will be.
    • Our team will then get to work on your mobile car service, tyre fitting, car battery service or pre-purchase inspection.
    • If we find anything out of sorts, we will discuss it with you as any necessary repairs will require a trip to our workshop.
    • Once complete, we’ll take it for a quick test drive and finish up!
    Can a mobile car service be performed at a location of my choice?

    We are rolling out our mobile car service around Australia, with servicing now available around the greater Melbourne metro area, Greater Sydney, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Ipswich and parts of the Sunshine Coast.
