Signs you need your Ford Falcon oil changed

How do you know your Ford Falcon is calling out for some fresh oil? Keep and eye out for warning signs like:

  • Engine knocking sounds
  • Oil that looks dark and dirty
  • Smoke coming from the exhaust
  • The engine light is on

Ignoring these warning signs can lead to catastrophic engine failure down the road, so bring your car into mycar at the first sign of trouble and we’ll get you sorted. Better still, keep up with regular maintenance to avoid any costly problems.

How often do you need an oil change?

To keep your Ford Falcon running well and minimise wear and tear on engine parts, it’s recommended to change the oil at least every 10,000 km to 15,000 km, or approximately every 6-12 months. However, if you’re regularly hauling a heavy trailer or a caravan, driving up lots of steep hills, or doing a fair bit of stop/start driving, you’ll want to book in more regularly to ensure your Ford Falcon is getting the TLC it needs.
