The benefits of an oil change in a Mazda

Given that your car's oil is one of its most important components, regularly changing it can provide significant benefits. Not only will you most likely see an increase in performance (and possibly even a reduction in fuel consumption), but your Mazda should also enjoy smoother operation. Perhaps most important of all, its engine won’t be in danger of wear and tear from lack of proper lubrication.

How much does a Mazda oil change service cost?

A service for your Mazda at mycar can cost as little as $269 for basic servicing, and we offer an upgraded service at $319 which gives your car some extra TLC.

Pricing will vary based on your specific vehicle, and things like how long you’ve left it between oil changes, your vehicle type, and the type of oil you need. At mycar we’ll always provide you with a detailed quote upfront before starting any work.

How customers feel about our Car servicing

How do I know when my Mazda needs an oil change?

The most obvious sign that a Mazda oil change is due is the warning light that will appear on your dash. Other common signs include an oil smell in your vehicle, decreased performance and efficiency, and smoke coming from your exhaust pipe. If you notice any of these, it's a solid indicator that an oil change is due. Mazda makes great cars, but it's always a good idea to keep it in tip-top shape.

What is the oil change process for a Mazda at mycar?

If you choose our Essential Service option, your oil change will include a new filter, up to 6 litres of premium oil, and a detailed inspection of your Mazda.

Those who select the Essential Plus option will also have their engine scanned, tyres rotated, and four standard electronic wheel balances.

Your friendly mycar servicing specialist will let you know how long it’s all expected to take prior to your appointment, and all services are carried out with care and expertise.

How often should I change the oil on my Mazda?

For most of their vehicles, Mazda recommends basic servicing at 10,000 km since your last service, or every 12 months—whichever is sooner. However, the conditions that you drive in and demand you place on your vehicle may mean that you need to service your car more regularly. Your mycar servicing expert can provide advice on this if you’re unsure.

How long can a Mazda go without an oil change?

The answer to this question can vary depending on your specific vehicle and the oil that you choose to use. We recommend never exceeding the manufacturer's specifications as this may void your warranty on newer vehicles and can cause issues for your engine.
